Finally, something *good* happens -- my friend got me tickets to tonight's midnight showing of Episode 2!!! WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!Time to dig out the Vader mask and dust off the 6th grade light saber.

I watch it last night on VCD!!! WOOOHOOoooooooooooooooooooooo... It's better than Episode 1. It's got some good parts. It was good. Not amazing, but good. I definately want to see it again.

I downloaded the VCD, but I can't force myself to watch it. :/ I just feel that I'd be doing myself a disservice watching it in such a poor quality incarnation.

Actually my FAVORITE part of the movie was not paying. The only part that that quality screwed up was that low base frequencies were missing. Big things would fall and make absolutely no noise.
Otherwise... it's totally worth the quality loss.

kicked asstoo bad anakin is a below-average actor. then again lucas didn't give him much to work with in the way of lines. otherwise, excelent movie.
btw what was dooku's darth name? it started with a T i think.
ps was dooku the jedi who ordered the clone army 10 years ago? if not who did?

Just got back.My analysis: Poor dialogue, but that's one of the few things I can discredit it for. Poor acting in a few cases, but average on the whole. Great action scenes, and enough to keep me awake. The movie itself is excellent -- great storyline on this one; tied #1 together damn well.
Things I distinctly noticed: Minimal inclusion of Jar-Jar, the Imperial anthem (first time in the new movies).
On the whole, I'd say it was pretty goddam good. Kicked the crap out of #1, but I realize now why it was necessary. Gonna get me tickets again this week.

I'm waiting for the massive throngs of scary superduperuberhardcore fans with seriously questionable hygiene to calm down a bit on their 20 views/week schedule. Don't want to be elbow to elbow with Big Bubba - hoarding an industrial vat of popcorn swimming in butter - dressed as Jabba ... with only body paint ... asking why the hell aren't I dressed up as Leia (cuz she ain't born yet).

If you're doing 20 views a week, stink more than a rotting skunk, and dress up with body paint only, sure - go ahead. Aversion started with Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within ... this nasty guy was belching quietly and the whole damn theater could smell it. He was filthy too.
Then I saw people dressed up for Lord of the Rings. Amused, but I was also scared. Very scared.
