Well, a week from this coming Friday I'll be going under the "knife."  Yup, Bel's getting his eyes zapped w/da lasik juju.  I'm kinda nervous, but hopefully everything will go well.  They said I'm pretty much a perfect candidate:  my eyesight isn't severe, I have think corneas, and my pupils are only slightly larger than average.

Wish me luck!

Hey good luck man! I've had an Uncle and cousin go through this.

Both are fine. My uncle's eyesight was el crapo de facto while his eyes healed, but he's got better than 20/20 now.

if you make a post and we can't understand it, we'll know the surgery was bad.

So you're saying that BF had a bad experience w/lasik? :p

or it could be possible he had a good experience with lasik...just not good enough.

A photographer I know had both eyes done, then done again.
Something about the lasers being old and worn.

So how does a laser wear out?  Does it's beam droop?

if it's a semiconductor laser the high voltage can wear it out. if it's a gas laser though, no excuses! :p

Great. That *really* spoiled the potential specualtion. Goddam physics majors...
