Do not fall prey to the poisonous myth that the daily bloody attacks against Jews in Israel have anything to do with the "1967 occupied territories," and that if Israel would only withdraw from these territories peace would be achieved. Reflect for a moment on some history.
1) The Palestinian Liberation Organization, known today as The Palestinian Authority, was founded in 1964, during a time when the "1967 occupied territories" were under Jordanian control. There was not one Jewish settlement in the "territories," nor any Jewish "occupation." Yet the charter of the PLO from 1964 till this very day states as its goal "the destruction of Israel."
Why did the PLO seek to destroy Israel when Israel did not "occupy any territories"? Because it could not tolerate the existence of Israel even in its pre-1967 geography.
2) What exactly occurred in 1967 that compelled Israel to occupy the territories? The Arab propaganda machine and much of the media have brainwashed us that Israel just awoke one morning and captured Arab territory.
That is a blatant lie. Israel was attacked by five Arab countries which sought to wipe it off the map. Israel fought back and won the war -- and the territories from which they were attacked.
Why did five Arab countries attack Israel while there was no "occupation"?
3) At Camp David, Yasser Arafat was offered by Ehud Barak 98 percent of the "1967 occupied territories" and a Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem. Arafat rejected the Israeli offer and initiated the worst 19 months of bloodshed in Israel.
It is dangerous and cruel to state that the daily murders of Jews in Israel has anything to do with the "occupied territories." These territories are merely being used as a justification to exterminate Jewish children, women and men and destroy their land.
This is a time to shout and thunder against the bloodshed, as well as protest the moral ambiguity that allows overt evil to continue. The blood of hundreds of Jews blown to pieces, cries to us from their tear-soaked graves.
We are fighting for the most sacred principle of all: the absolute sanctity of life. Ironically, our success will save New York, the entire U.S. and Europe from the scourge of despicable homicide bombers.
Let us participate as one people with one heart in the Jewish march for the sanctity of life this Monday, April 15, at 1 p.m., in Washington, D.C. (For more info go to: www.ou.org/events/5762/locations0402.htm).

one correction, to be factually correct, '67 as a pre-emptive strike by Israel because they figured it was better to hit before being hit rather then waiting for the arab's to get their shit together over the next couple of days. (basically, yes, israel attacked first, but they were provoked by the arabs)

P.L.O.: "We will attack Israel in three days."
Two days later...
P.L.O.: "HOLY SHIT!  They're attacking us!  This was totally unprovoked!"

Normally I'm against hitting first, but this is an exception.

the arabs had attacked settlements from the golan heights, moved troops into position, and blockaded israel off. all three acts of war.
