you should have added residential shared T1 installation as a choice.  i hear those are becoming more popular now as a way to attract people to living in apartment complexes.

Hey ...damnit  ...it didn't let me vote.  I hate it when that happens.

By day I'm on an OC12 (622 Mbps) connection that hauls data traffic back to NJ where the content is checked and filtered before connecting to the public Internet through a proxy/firewall mess  ...effectivly slowing down my connection speed to about 2Mbps

By night I have a cable modem through Time Warner.

what wiley's not telling us is that the real reason it's so slow is because he's running a topsites ftp... and that's eating most of the bandwidth, but he's got everyone convinced that it's the proxy firewall mess.

I h4v3 my m4d w4r3z sites y0.    ....4nd 4ll d4 pr0n p0pUp s3rv3rs.

Actually all the bandwidth is used for phones, video conferencing, and moving a whole lotta video feeds across the country.  We gotta be AT&Ts number one customer.

Back in Germany, about a year ago, I was the God of the Techies at my school because I had a cable modem that could download at speeds of up to 15 kbps, while everyone else had a 56k, going at 4 kbps on most servers. Germany took a long to upgrade. Now most of them have DSL.
