Forum: The Classroom Topic: Jails full, new policy? Give murders probation. started by: Del7a Posted by Del7a on Feb. 13 2002,16:47
< http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/news/local/2629502.htm >In an act that can only be called "stupidity", Jurors give a convicted murder probation instead of imprisonment. "How could this mistake be made?" You ask? It all boils down to a little thing I call "reading comprehension". They supposedly teach this in schools (well, they did when I was in grade school), but it seems that our wonderful education system just isn't cutting it anymore. I mean, come on...they signed the wrong form. On top of that, they knew they made a mistake and chose not to do anything about it until after the sentence was passed! I'll let you read that again. I'm pretty sure my faith in the legal system just went down a couple of points. Del7a Posted by Wolfguard on Feb. 13 2002,17:44
Jury: (n)12 morons that could not get out of jury duty that have the fate of a human being in their hands. Posted by Wiley on Feb. 13 2002,18:34
This must be the same jury from the OJ trial. "Oh, did we say not guilty? Which one means the bastard killed his ex and her new lover, spilling DNA all over the place and then ran from the police because he knew he did it and we should fry his ass?" Is that the guily or the not guilty ...damn these legal terms. Posted by ic0n0 on Feb. 13 2002,18:53
Still beats being tried by bible standards.

Why the fuck even have trials? If someone screws you or your family, kill 'em!!! If you're dead, someone else ought to do it for you. The world would be much better off if we approached everything from that angle, and just think of all the fresh meat!!! no more need for cattle.
