Music is a departure for me: it allows me to seperate myself from the rest of the world for a few moments every day.  Whether classical, rock, country, even some Christian, I hold musicians and their music in high regard.

Well, until today, that is.  Limp Bizkit, a pretty popular band is looking for a new guitarist.  That person may be you!  But first, you may want to read the fine print.

This is what I like to call "brilliant stupidity".  Let me sumarize the above link for you: You sign this contract before you audition.  There are three pages that state 1) You cannot perform any music by Limp Bizkit 2) The piece cannot be a cover song 3) The music must not be copyrighted.  Can you see where I am going with this?

Wait, there is more.  The rest of the document goes on to say that basically any piece of music that you perform becomes Limp Bizkit's property!  They can go on and make a song with your music and you can't do anything about it!

But I won't spoil the whole story for you.  Have fun reading while listening to "My Way"...

It's not that I love the LA Times, it's just that they ran a couple pix of the guys asleep outside the Guitar Factory on Sunset, just a block from where I got that orange cat, waiting their turn to audition.  Good luck guys!  I think?

You'd think they'd at least go through the pretense of hiding the fact that they're just butt-raping people for their music.

Just goes to show you that if you dangle fame in front of people, they'll bite.  Really, though, how many of you scrutinize the fine print?  It seems to be a case of wishful thinking combined with unrealistic hope.

limb bizkit just sucks.  90% of the rock bands on MTV suck.  The only new rock bands that have come out in the last couple years that are big I like are staind, disturbed, static x, and...  a couple others, that I can't think of right now.  I like a couple linkin park songs, but they're like a new KoRn so they suck in general.

Otherwise, I'm a rap fan.  Sorry, have to admit.  Love me some good ol' ghetto shit.  None of this new stuff though.  All the hate they have for each other...  And all this shit about how rich they are.  I could give a shit less how many BMW's you have or how many bathrooms are in your house.
