My kitty is going nuts right now. I know she's in heat. She's a stray that I found about 9 months ago. When I had taken her to the vet before, they felt the spay scar and were pretty sure she was fixed. So, here's the question? Has anybody had a cat that has been spayed, but still goes into heat? This is twice for her. Can a spaying go wrong and still leave them fertile/nuts?Just trying to rustle up a little info before I call up the vet.

Perhaps they mis-diagnosed the scar; I have 2 girl cats going on 7 years now, and they have become quite amenable after the "fixing".Problem is, it's a lot more expensive to fix the cat when she's in heat. Can't stand cats in heat, drove me nuts!

I have a dog and a cat like both of them. My cat only has three legs and that can lead to some funny shit.

I have 3 cats, all under 3 years old. One is fixed, the other 2 are in heat right now and they drive me crazy!!

I read in on the internet last night (since I couldn't sleep) that cats will go through these heat cycles around 13 times a year... for 7 days each... all between late winter and early summer. Jesus christ, are there even that many days? It's unbearable. Poor girl...

lock her and a male cat in the same room for 3 hours. If in a couple months she's pooping out more cats, you'll know if the vets lied to you or not.

He scrambles all barkey when the door opens, then he tries to "run" away, and falls over everytime!
He kicks himself upright again and still barking, scoots away!

It really brightens my day when other detvets make the same booboos I do....W, your link says "restricted area" Did you use Opera? O will not work with Yahoo when you copy/paste the address. Oh my god, that's like, exactly what my cat looks like. She's a little tabby too, but mine has a little pink and blue collar on with a bell. 
Aren't they cute?And she's still driving me nuts. She's my horny little girl. Fitting that I named her Putita.
