I made a terrible mistake... I reformatted my computer...
then I reinstalled Half-life, never know, I may want to play a friend sometime...
then got the patch for CS and Half-life, maybe some friends onlne for a short game?
When I was done I wanted to see how rusty almost a year of zero practice had left me... so I joined a server with good ping...
that was midnight...
8 AM I finally call it quits on the server: end result, I'm stilll salvagable, but really really badly rust, and nothing near what I once was.
... an hour later I had downloaded the 4.0.0.8 Dedicated server, Admin_mod, and CounterStrikeGaurd (The latest server-side anti cheat tool), Hl Stats and some helper tools and everything ran, first time, no hassle... guess that's where the whole experience of doing this many many times comes in handy... anyways, it's all open now, I went out into the beautiful country today for most of the day with my friends (who were far too immersed in their bowls to notice the whole nature thing anyways) and I left the server up, noone joined.

I don't know if it doesn't work, or just noone joined. If any of you would be so kind as to test out my server by trying to join I would be grateful

You, sir, have a stronger gut than I. I played Counterstrike when it first came out, and it was OK. Then I tried again a few months ago. If you're a good shot, you hear "OMG OMG AWP FAGG0T!" and "OMG! U WALLHACK!!@!" If you die a few times, "HAHA, U L@M3R" Multiply those responses by 100 during the course of a sungle match. I can't stomach that in a game. Decent game though, I know I love the premise. Now, if you'll set up an old Quake 2 / Weapons Factory server, you'll be an excellent human being.

i think that Q3A may be better than Q2, but i like playing Q2 online a lot more...
The servers aren't crowded witb idiots too.

What really annoys me about ppl who bitch perpetally is that they sometimes have the nerve to start a vote_kick on ppl who "wallhack"
It happened to me, and i got kicked for no fucking reason at all.
Needless to say, it pissed me off immensely.
now on most servers, bitching about ppl "hacking" is equivilant to using an actual hack since it is now a universally kickable offense

Hey, Dysorderia, thanks for testing it out. I guess just noones wanted to join or something.Delpino, Q2 WFA was the shit! I always would play with that class that had the missle that went really slowly then released liquid grenade death to whereever it hit... I don't remember the game too too well, but back when I played Q2 alot WFA was definitly my favorite
I love CS though, it's not as much twitch as Q3A or Q2, but more strategy (I had been addicted to Q3 BTW, I was ranked pretty high in a InstiGib Tourney). Anyways, CS is still not thinking strategy, but like a more twitch game where you have to think.

weapons factory for q3a is the shit. so is the bouncy mod, super heros, and urban terror. UT is like like CS for q3a. it kicks some major ass.

It's a decent server.
i'd play there, but there was no one on there.
If you are ever playing CS, then look < me > up on < Gametiger > and come join me if you want.

Hey, I've added some cool mods to the server, and Slate's put up stats for it. It's officially become Masterslate.org's official CS server (lots of officiality, huh?) People seem to be getting decent ping, so come join us (if ever you see people on 
) The server ip is 24.26.148.34:27016 (soon there will be a nice name, cs.octlet.net, for it). I'll be organizing some times to just play around with peeps
Oh, and solid, you probably could whup my ass. I used to be pretty damned good (I think), but I only started playing again a week ago... and I suck.
