I dunno, I liked lam0rs n l33t hax0rs...then again it created a buncha new people posting like mad till 30 posts, then disappearing...Maybe its just me...I'm just one of those people that hates change.

there were a couple detvets who were posting about changing the titles and it seemed like such an innocent thing to do...

I think any one who registered in 2000 should be a dif catagory that can not be changed. like old school hacker or something, but people you registered after that can have dif names that way us old schoolers can be seen for what we are, unique.

yeah, I haven't been able to post in polls lately, either.also, for 3000 plus I think it should be "This user is a fucking loser and has way to fucking much time on their hands, ignore their loser-ness posts, please" or something. Just a thought...

Ha, that brings back memories damien_s_lucifer, i'll not got into it but it involved me shout FEAR ME at someone who had given me grief for months and i'd just let it slide, but once pinned against a wall and having me yell fear me at him then casually walk away as if nothing had happened... Well he did. 
I still very much think that the personal titles should be more limited and that you should have to A) Make a fool of yourself and have the quote of you being silly put in your title for all to see or B) Say or do something that demands respect, so you can suggest your own for Ed. to put in.

jimi: I forgot about that. good thing you reminded me as for spending to much time on irc... yeah, probably. I go between sitting infront of my computer and watching tv downstairs, so I end up seeing most of what happens in the channel unless I'm at school, sleeping, or actually out doing something.

Hrm, I do think the terms lam0r and hax0r are getting old. No doubt cr0bar could be the originat0r...But maybe being able to change your own title would be nice, it would leave more to people's imagination, give them the means to tell more about their avatar, and so on.
Can't wait to get the title of "DetNet: rotten egg"
...or something along those lines.
but the present system does show who should be revered and such. Maybe you could change the user groups to be able to do that.
