Hello, I will appologise in advance for my being blatently crap but can somebody please tell me why my avatar never works?It is stored at < http://wind.prohosting.com/cmjimi/avatars/coffee.gif >
I appreciate all those offers from people willing to host it but it would be much more convenient if I could host my own, I haven't moved where they are located, I have the link right in my control panel I have the size set up right as 50x50. EVERYTHING is right. But still once set up it doesn't stay set up, it stays linked to the right place in my CP, the size stays fine and all but it just doesn't display it the next day when I log on.
Anyone know why this is. surely if the avatar is not being moved to a different URL it should be fine and dandy.
Oh, I just had an idea but I will post this anyway incase it doesn't work and I still need your help.

OK, i'm afraid now, it is working on my end and I haven't changed anything... Is that the work of an admin. But yeah I usually have the link 100% right anyway as I copy and paste it into the text box in my comtrol panel, so still a bit confused.If my avatar working now is just coincidence it won't be by tomorrow i'd bet what little sanity I have left on it.

Technically, no. You're not supposed to use your account as a storage space and refer to the stuff in your account from another, non-ProHosting site. This is because they wouldn't be able to show their ads, even though you're using their resources. Generally, you actually can't access some content stored on ProHosting's server from other sites. The server will not serve the content.

Uglycat simply senses the ugliness around him. That was taken in East Appleton. Poor poor Uglycat. Oh, and I can see your avatar now also. D'eh, let's all pretend I "hacked the Gibson" and fixed it. Cake and punch and pie for all!

Yes, I need for someone to host my sissy avatar. BTW FOLKS, the email sys for iK doesn't actually show the address you're sending to, so it's impossible to send a file (you can't attach it).

Just to clear the matter up it wasn't me who broke my avatar when incubus hosted it, I left myself logged on and went out of the room. At this point one of my friends got their grubby mits on my control panel settings and messed around./me names my computer GIBSON and blames Delpino for the avatar foxering!
