I am among the many who hated this movie. I was laughing every time Stan "hax0red".It was actually pretty funny when he was making that super-worm, how little blue cubes rotated around the screen. And as in all Hollywood hacker-related movies, their computer GUIs were incredibly well drawn. Not command prompts, but flashing thingies and rotating stuff. And wouldn't it be necessary to know what type of encryption it is before just terming it by the number of bits used in it? Just a thought... <edit> Damn, I hit new post, not reply topic. Sorry, you can delete this. :-( <edit> This message has been edited by hub on June 25, 2001 at 03:02 PM Posted by RenegadeSnark on Jun. 24 2001,21:37

But to arge the point... I read in the liner notes of the DVD (sorry I sold it) that the screens weren't ACTUALLY supposed to be doing weird 3D hax0ring shit... it was the director's abstract representation of what THEY see. Rather than black and white command prompts, hax0rs "see" a virtual world that can be navigated with the keyboard. I only wish he had been able to get that point through onscreen, cause it makes it look retarded if you think they have unrealistic super computers or something.------------------ Posted by Sithiee on Jun. 26 2001,02:09
i'll have to read that when i get home, but if thats what it was supposed to be, maybe a nice transition would have helped his point. like it could start off at a promt, and then he starts concentrating and it morphs into flying around the computer. itd make more sense then.------------------ quote: Posted by Rhydant on Jun. 26 2001,02:17
