Almost every site has one of these forums. The exact same format with subtle changes and different graphics.IRC and other chat mediums are -so- much better. Why the hell do you use these things?

Don't compare messageboards with irc. This is not a chat room. This is a place where you post your oppinion and have it dicussed. On irc you have to be on the channel, to have your oppinion discussed. And if you diconnect you miss the discussion. You don't do that here. Also on irc everybody have to be online at the same time to discuss a topic. Here you don't

Messages on these boards seem to be more deliberately thought out than with real-time interactions (first posts excepted). Also, I find that this medium is better suited for certain types of discussions. It seems appropriate to bring up a particular quote, "The medium is the message."

te amo. i love you guys too ;\. dont get me wrong, i'm on irc as i'm typing this :) heh, when i saw the topic for this thread, i was thinking out of hand as in "OMG SO MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM, WHERE DO I GO NEXT?" welp. lets just say i hardly ever go back to threads i post in, unless i'm expecting a reply :)

i LOVE these message boards. apart from the fact that i can't access irc or anything else from work, the message boards remind me of old school BBS's. i loved them, and the sense of community that went with 'emi love you guys!!

What gets my goat about them is how quickly the topics dissapear...I posted in a thread not long ago (two days ago) in stile's forum (i think) regarding the outcome to a fight between Spiderman and Wolverine. And i CAN'T SMEGGING FIND IT.

psaph...everytime I try to pronounce it I have to clean my monitor from spit. So now I'll stop trying.I think the lam0r of the week concept is lame. I feel sorry for the lam0rs. Mostly they can't help being lame so why mock them. It's like mocking someone with an IQ below 10. Pointing fingers and saying, HAHA...he's not smart! I mean...is it smart to point fingers at the obvious or does it just prove that you've got a slow perception and you actually being a lam0r too.
