I have a friend visiting Germany. She want's to bring cool American stuff that Germans will dig. So what kind of American pop-culture crap do German's like?

She should bring Hershey bars, they love those... or just anything shiny. Tell her not to take their photos cause they think it steals their soul I saw it on a Discovery channel documentary.

how about some american porn? We seem to be so obsessed with "AMSTERDAM NUDES! REAL GERMEN LESBIANS!! FREE!!1!!!" they must like our stuff, too.
Posted by LiNeY on Jan. 06 2002,10:58
Well, it all depends on who she visits etc... but in general, good things to bring are:peanut butter Hershey bars or other typically American sweets anything with the US flag printed on it Levi's jeans stuff (Germans dig Levi's... dunno why) stuff from "big, well-known" American cities (NYC, LA, San Francisco)... Some people like US army stuff, too... We don't mind photos... it's actually Moslems who think photographing steals their soul. (Hey Non... you seem to be the only one here who never begged for a pic of me!) DKB: it's "I'm looking for freedom, I'm looking for love"... and NO, I am not particularly fond of David Hasselhoff :-D Posted by ic0n0 on Jan. 07 2002,17:55
Everyone seems to think i am german on icq becasue of my lastname, so i get lots of random german people icq'ing me. So i changed my name online. I could see why they thought i was german my last name is schultz for christ sake.

You're like a good book LiNeY, I already have a mental picture of you and seeing a different one no matter how pretty you are it would just ruin it...
Posted by DeadAnztac on Jan. 07 2002,21:31
I thought the same thing Non, but lucky for her, her beauty isn't just on the inside.
Posted by Dark Knight Bob on Jan. 07 2002,22:10

Non: just out of curiosity... what's your mental picture of me like? Anztac & DKB: Thanks, guys. *blush* Posted by Non on Jan. 07 2002,23:01
Blond, short hair; 2 eyes of some colour maybe blue or green; Tall, but not too tall; You have too much self-respect to be one of those extremely skinny girls with eating disorders; I picture you speaking without an accent; no glasses, I have a thing for girls with glasses (they give a air of intelligence), but I don't think you wear any... that is a rough sketch.

Is he right? Posted by Psychosomatic_plague on Jan. 08 2002,00:02
Is he?You're a fair skinned brunete with eyes dark as night and a body that makes men pause and stare when you enter a room? Posted by richard on Jan. 08 2002,03:59
Non is pretty much on target, from the last picture I saw. Of course, that was probably a year ago.
Posted by Vigilante on Jan. 08 2002,13:37
Non's on the right track; of course, mere words can't even begin to describe...
Posted by LiNeY on Jan. 08 2002,22:12
I'm about 5'7"... not skinny but not fat either... just curves. blonde hair with some blonde and some coppery highlights, about shoulderlength, I wanna let it grow longer... sort of wavy. grey eyes, quite dark. and glasses, but I usually wear contacts (and there are no recent pics of me wearing glasses...). I do have an accent, though I try to get rid of it. You were quite right, Non. Oh, and I have a thing for crazy hats. Posted by Dark Knight Bob on Jan. 09 2002,01:30
i liked the cowboy hat
