my friend Jose says he saw the cupacabra once while he was living in Peurto Rico. from what he described, it didn't look like that.there's an interesting legend behind the cupacabra...... but i don't feel like typing it, so nanny-nanny-poo-poo=p Posted by damien_s_lucifer on May 03 2002,11:18

Ic0n0, I'm not sure you can edit polls after they're posted.I would look but I'm busy. My favorite in LA is "The La Brea Tar Pits" Translated, that says, "The The Tar Tar Pits." really. Posted by damien_s_lucifer on May 06 2002,22:34
"chupacabra" ends in "a", therefore it's feminine, so it's "la". Posted by editor on May 06 2002,22:47
The (feminine) goak suckstress?ack! Posted by Dysorderia on May 06 2002,22:48

supposedly la chupacabra is some poor bastard that got cursed by a witch a few hundred years ago (i forget why, but that was a story all its own...). His body is horribly deformed. He's got claws for fingers, he's hunched over, has long teeth, etc.... He's cursed to only be able to drink blood (hence 'goatsucker', since he doesn't like feeding on humans), and can only eat ashes. Supposedly its pretty common to find claw marks in your firepalce in the morning from where la chupacabra ate some of your ashes.laugh if you want, but my friend Jose says he saw this thing kill a goat. Jose is a pretty smart guy, and generally doesn't buy into native peurto rican mythology/superstition/whatever...... Posted by Beldurin on May 07 2002,18:19
You sure it was Jose? They all look the same to me. I can't tell Jose from Jos-b.Heh...*groan* for some reason the joke is funnier out loud... Posted by ic0n0 on May 07 2002,19:16
That joke makes me cringe. Posted by Beldurin on May 07 2002,22:24
