Does anyone know any good Napster-type file sharers??
i've tried all the cute MX's, and the iMesh's, and they all suck...
the one i recently found is one called BearShare...it's by free peers inc...similar to gnutella...it's very slick in that there's no central server like for Napster, where all the user's song lists are, but different users with personal computers choose to set themselves up as servers, and your search is passed among them...not too shabby so far...i'll see in a while...
i've found some pretty rare stuff on it too...
any other good ones?

I've been told bearshare has some spyware components. *shrug*

I use Morpheus, myself. Created by the old musiccity napster servers. I'm not really satisfied with its porn content, but I've gotten all the music I've looked for.

I myself use the LimeWire client for the gnutella network.

It's written in java, which i know many of you arn't very fond of, but it's a good program.

I have been introduced to morpheus this morning though, i'm kinda impressed, but havn't fully made up my tiny mind yet.

for my movie, software, games and music needs i use a program called Hotline Connect by Hotline Communications Ltd.
it's more of an ftp kinda deal, because it has a clien server structure, built on their own transfer protocol
it's not bad once u get a hang of it
u can get almost everything on there
