why wipe a tear? its a shit song and everyone in the uk thinks so and finds it completely lacking in british spirit.

land of hope and glory seems more of a suitable song for our national anthem

Why wipe a tear at all? I never understood the wiping-a-tear-for-the-country-that-tries-to-rip-you-off-one-way-or-another bit.

Okay, a song that's got more British spirit in it, how about the grand old song 'The Referee's a Wanker' or may be shouting 'TUNE' repeatedly?

solid, the tear wasn't for the country it was for the achievemnet made by one of it's citizens and it was a FUCKING JOKE before anyone starts saying 'all he did was get the 1000th post'.

Get a sense of humour.
cheers

PS liking Friends doesn't mean you have a sense of humour.

Though it wasn't really the 1000th topic. Notice the address of this page ends with 1007.html? PG's "Forum 1000" topic
< http://www.detonate.net/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001000.html >

is really the 1000th topic. See how the name is 1000.html?
