Why would they care if the BFG stood for Big Fucking Gun. The ad is not about keeping kids from cursing it to keep them away from drugs. Thad doesn't care if the kids go around telling there moms and friends to fuck off.------------------

Okay, so mabey I was venting a little. Now that I have calmed down, I can explain myself. It's just that the PMRC and those related to it try to opress viewpoints that are considered too radical, or not in line with their views. They use intimidation tactics to get stores to pull various music/videogame titles from their shelves or face picketing and/or boycotts. This is indirect censorship, because if certain points of view cannot reach the public, they cannot make their voice heard. I'm not saying video games are political, but any censorship is bad news, at least in my opinion, sithee.

i think what the soccer-mom-advertising committee was trying to say is that you don't need a BFG to save the world, like you do in doom, you just need to stay drug free to save the world. it's not censorship or whatever, just a kinda lame anti-drug add...
