America isn't THAT great a place to live. Sure it is better than most of the world, but it is nothing we should be proud of or settle for. There are many ways of making this country better. I in no way would defend this country in anyway. I am completly against nationlaism. Why believe in a country that doesn't believe in you?

I disagree.. What if someone is not there by their own choice - I mean, if someone can't afford to leave, then they pretty much have to stay, but they don't have to like it.

I think you can extend this. If someone decides to move to america to further their career, for example if the specific opportunity that they want is on offer there, he can do so, but does that render him unable to comment on the negative aspects of it? no. In fact i think that if he's living there at the moment that makes him more able to comment on the US shortcomings than, for example, myself, as i've never been there.

Well, I can bitch about the US. I live here. I think it's ok for him to bitch about it too. Frankly, this country isn't perfect. I don't respect a lot of what goes on (the drug war, censorship, bush's new habit of adding religion to government, etc). And for that I don't really respect the company.

But if this is the best, I'd hate to see the worst.

I mentioned quite a few times that america is very good at a good amount of things, and that every nation sucks at one thing or another..

Its easy to take advantage of the welfare system. You can easily live off welfare check for a very long time and even collect while working a regular job.
Its easy to take advantage of the judicial system. You can sue anyone for anything and get large amounts of money. Plus if you have a good lawyer you can get away with murder.
