Topic: Dragon Ball Z Catch-up

Anywaze, I missed all the episodes between
A) Picolo starts fighting the android with black hair
B) Krilin crushes the remote cause he likes the android with the blond hair
Anyway, what happened with Cell? He was less of a dork when I came back. What happened to the black hair android? What happened with Vegeta and Trunks when they traded places with Goku and Gohan? Did it ever show them training?
Also, if you've got the time, I missed most of the bigging of this season. I started watching the eppisode where Vageta punches the blone android in the face and then gets waisted.
What was with Dr. Jero? Freeza and his dad? And when did bulma get knocked up????? Did it show any of that!!!

Meanwhile, Trunks and Gohan fly to the ruins of Dr. Gero's lab, find the plans for 17 & 18, and destroy the infant Cell. Bulma creates the remote control, and gives it to Krillin.
Goku, undaunted by the fact that Cell is almost unbeatable, brings together Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan and himself at Kame's tower. Vegeta and Trunks go into a time chamber, which lets them get 1 year of training in 1 day. Vegeta and Trunks emerge as Super Sayians layer 2, and go off to fight Cell while Goku and Gohan train.
Vegeta is up first and promply makes Cell his bitch. Cell then whines that he WOULD be stronger, if he absorbed 18. (the girl) Vegeta lets him go, so that Cell will be a challenge. After another solar flare attack, Cell absorbs 18. This time Vegeta gets whomped on, and it is revealed that Trunks is stronger, but wants to hide it so Vegeta won't hate him.
In the time chamber, Goku and Gohan are training, and Gohan becomes a Super Sayian.
I think I got it all, but there were a few cutscenes with Yajiriobi and Bulma that I left out.
Oh, but what about Bulma wanting a date with Yajarobe for the remote? Was that just a joke?
And what about the begining of the season? I still don't know how Goku got back to earth or what was up with that fat white guy with the hat (seen in comertials). And when did Vageta first become a super sayen? Missed that to...

As for Freeza, if you remember Goku gives him some of his own energy right before Namek blows up, so despite the fact that is exploded he survived in the many small pieces that he was. King Cold, who is Freeza's dad, comes in with his spaceship and rescues the half-Freeza thats floating around. Their crack team of Alien engineers rebuild Freeza using robotic parts to make Cybord Freeza who is stronger than normal Freeza.
This however doesn't matter very much since Trunks comes in and deflects all Cyborg Freeza's energy attacks including his Planet Killer attack which is that huge ball thing that he shoots at the planet to destroy it. It seems it gets Trunks when suddenly instead of drilling downwards into the earth, it starts to float up. You eventually see that Trunks has stopped it with is bare hand and is walking up the crater that it created. After it explodes and Trunks survives, he shoots an energy attack at Freeza that misses, however, Trunks is right above Freeza when he jumps to avoid it. Now you see Freeza in two pieces, and in a matter of seconds all you see left is many guts and slices of Freeza floating in the air. Trunks dispenses of an energy attack and destroys the pieces. Then he kills King Cold, which is when the Andriod Saga begins.

It's basically every anime you've seen where the fate of the the world rests on the shoulders of a small group of people who pilot big metal crafts. Except under water.
The spectacular animation still couldn't manage to hold my interest past the first half of Ep. 2...

Just get over it.
subs are better because they preserve the original language- you have no idea how much these american anime companies screw up translations, it's unbearable...
Things you missed:
- First eppisode: Gohan wanders out of the house and gets into all kinds of trouble (reminicant of the first Dragon Ball eppisode with Goku). This is why in the American one he's hanging on a branch for no reason.
- Goku get a big hole blasted in him by Piccalo to kill Raditz. It skips over most of that in the American version.
- Gohan (when he's in the desert) meets an artifically intellegent robot that been trapped in a cave. There's a huge explanation of what Chichi has him study all the time, and a HUGE explanation of his "evolution" for whiny little kid to surviver. The scene in the Amican version where he's crying after his dino pal dies, actually comes right after this robot gets buried and makes a bunch more sence.
- Piccolo kicks Gohan's ass more and screws up his eye.
- Tien's back story. His wife is a theif and robs a bank. He and Chowsu practice by stopping a waterfall. Then when he finds out that Kame is traning everyone, he CLIMBS up that pillar that leads to Kame's look-out. (in the American version he just SHOWS UP and Krilin is like HEY!) Also I remember him visiting his wife (or something).
- Explanation of that pink haired witch with the crystal ball. She comes from the deadside.
- Those 2 guys have HELL written on their shirts instead of HEFL
- One of the snake ladys teaches Goku how to play Russian Rollet and blows her brains out.
- The snake queen sees Goku naked in the hot springs and freaks out.
- Nudity at 2 or 3 parts, esspecially after Gohan turns into a big ape...
But that's just off the top of my head... Since Cartoon Network got it (rather than Fox) they've been doing much better with leaving in violence and stuff, but....
Namek stuff: Goldo gets his head cut off, and then his head still talks to Vegeta. More blood.
Android stuff: They show more of Cell puking-up Android 18.
But anyway, I ACTUALLY started this post cause I wanted to say that some of the cultural jokes are anoying. Like, most of what King Ky says are Japanes puns and make ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE when translated litterally. I was going to post some screen shots of that, but RealPlayer is EVIL EVIL EVIL and I can't even use the print screen button to capture it.

not only are you missing out on the language, your missing out on some of the fighting as well.
i when i first got @home cable connection i went download crazy and downloaded dbz episodes a month in advance. these were the suns mind you. after watching them and the ctn episodes a few weeks later, i saw that you miss out on most of the "bloodier" fight sceens as well.
