U2! Hah! Sublime has to be the greatest band to just mellow/chill out to. It's such great music.. I don't know how to describe it. Bradley Nowell is a really great singer. The best I have heard from them, which I just recently got, was a bootleg from < The Fox Theatre >. If you have heard the self-titled album, you haven't heard the best of sublime. And also, who doesn't love < Raleigh? >

Ok..
i say, stop fighting over bands and crap..
its all personal choice... I don't care if you like eminem cause he's cool, cause I don't like him cause he's a loser..
See, it doesn't matter what others think and stuff..
So just let it go.. stop the this band is better crap, cause in fact, no band is any better then another. except copycat's/wannabe's they are lame.

aw man, you took the easy part! i don't remember the next part...something about "5 dollars at the door"...this has been bugging me through 3 classes already this morning!

"This ain't no funky reggae party, five dollars at the door."

You owe me.

Posted by fire_502 on Mar. 11 2001,16:51
is that a threat or a promise?

That's a good one, 'cept it's by the Toys, not Sublime. Sublime has a good version, but they took out the best part:

(second verse)
I smoke two joints when I get up
In the car I smoke two joints
I smoke two joints when I play video games
At every ten thousand points - I smoke two joints

Still, Sublime rocks. Glad they put my home town on the map. Well, them and Snoop.

edit: I just can't make up my mind.

Sorry if I got the lyrics slightly wrong. . . I'm not a big fan, I just like a few of their tracks.

I'm the same way, cr0. I just like to hear it, not necessarily seek it out.

However, my fav of theirs is 'Rivers of Babylon'.

that's a good song.. the best version is from their acoustic cd

"...i've got the deuce deuce in the trunk of my car.."

the original version is "This ain't no fucking reggae party, five dollars at the door."

Smoke two joints in the morning
I smoke two joints at night
I smoke two joints in the afternoon
It makes me feel alright.

I smoke two joints, in time of peace
And two in time of war.
I smoke two joints before I smoke two joints,
And then I smoke two more.

Words to live by.

i agree (though i think i was older than 11 when wrong way was always on the radio). and Full Metal Jacket is one of my favorite movies. i can pretty much quote every line in the first hour of the movie.

ok, sublime has to be my most favorite all time band.. from when i was like eleven listening to "wrong way" and to now where im into their old shit. on the acoustic album, he just is so fucking into what he does, and i love it. i mean, it is a band for all types of people, reggae, ska, punk, blues, they gots it all.

"and i would be up for being down with a hoe, lord knows i got the mutha fuckin mic control, doyou got mic control.."

god has a HARD ON for marines - Full Metal Jacket

Ummm no Sublime is just another heroin band. Kinda like Snot but Snot actually played decent music. Sublime is just slow music you sit around to when you are fat and smoking weed 24/7.

i've never smoked weed in my life. i've tried a cigarette twice. and i *wish* i could sit around all day.
