Wraa. I used to be semper, but I've found that there is another semper, not at detnet, but floating around somewhere in the hax0r community. To avoid any confusion, I'm changing my username.

BTW to avoid any confusion with my username on the 16th of every month I'm known as MeatJam22401 - except if it's a Tuesday when I'm known as MaetJam due to a spelling mistake and bad gas problems. There are several MeatJams around the world so my name is JamMeat on every forum except for DetNet - though it's still MeatJam if I signed up during a Lunar eclipse or if it's a time between 1240 and 2210. If I'm feeling bad ass I'm known as M34tj4m or something and If i'm feeling Japanese it's Domokun, or Domokong - I'm not yet decided, except if it's the 17th of the month when I am. Finally if it's any time between Genesis and Armageddon I'm known as MeatJam.

Phew that could have been a close one!

Well, I've been schnarf pretty much everywhere else, except for here. I decided to go as semper, well, because I happen to know a bit of latin, and, hell, semper is a cool word. Bleh. The "humorous" thing to do would be to debate whether I am schizophrenic or not, but I'm too lazy.

I've been Wiley so long that I'm forever stuck on Yahoo with a page URL that no longer exists. I registed my site with the search engine six years ago.

No, your site is crappy Aqua, mixed with some PHP knowledge, with what looks like an escape character on all your poorly organized and scary as fuck looking CSS/HTML.

Sorry. Your site is definitly not better then Wileys' much better looking, and I must say, much better WRITTEN website. (Even if the menu bar does look to be composed in ImageReady, that's ok. It works well, and looks great (P.S. sorry if I'm wrong) =)

It's just too bad I get like 0 traffic. I'm always thinking that I could have a kick-ass site if I had the time, but I never do.

Schnarf, you and I both need more content. I am planning on adding some real content soon. The things that are on my site now are only there as proof of concept type things. If I see something I like on a site with PHP I try and duplicate it in asp because I'm Microsoft's bitch. (I'm still working on the voting box). Detonate actually got me motivated to make a news page that is dynamically created off of a < form >. I don't have the time to write news stories though, so if anybody wants to give it a try feel free (and let me know what's lacking).
Oh yeah, drag a shortcut of the URL to the desktop and see what happens ...yeah it's very lame and was originally put there for my mom. She gets all excited and says "my son is an internet icon".

I would suggest you put a title on that page before your mom starts saying, "It's my son! He's an untitled document!"

The icon is for the main page (http://jim.cbk.net) which does have a title. If you drag the shortcut onto your desktop it will pull an icon off the server. Just name an icon favicon.ico and upload it with your site for this to work. (yes, I already pointed out it's stupid)
The news page is still being worked on and will pick up the same <head> as the rest of the site when the template is applied to it. This is done so meta tags can be added to the entire site at once if need be.

The majority of the graphics were done in PSP, with minor tweaks in Photoshop. I don't see what's wrong with my aqua. I'll give you that my HTML is poorly organized, but that's because I was shifting a lot of it around, and never got a chance to tab it nicely and stuff. Once I make the move to a real server, it'll be done. However, I'd like to point out that my page is XHTML compliant, so I would say that it's just as well written. I think it's also a matter of preference, some people like aqua, some people think it's tacky.
