Hey everyone. The < Someting Awful > community will be in mourning for the next few weeks. It seems Lowtax is fed up with eFront and GameFan < not paying him. > So he's calling it quits at the end of this week. It's a fucking shame that one of the best sites on the Net has to die because of failing eBusinesses and crappy magazines...

It's truly a sad day. Definitely one of my fav sites ever. It's a site that so many others aspired to be. If some magazine is smart, they will pick him up.

I submitted the story to slashdot... let's see what they think.

For the first time I read a Jeff K column today... NOW I see what all the fuss is about! He's the kind of guy that if I just saw him in a grocery store or something, I'd have to tackle and beat the snot out of!

EDIT - hey cr0, I know you can see this. Only cuz you have nothing better to do... But seeing as Lowtax will most likely be ending his masterpiece (cough) by the end of this week, what would you say to having him write for DetNet? Kinda like Lowtax has a Jeff K. page, you could have a Lowtax page. I know I would certainly enjoy seeing him continue doing his work at any site. Well, maybe it's an opportunity that he might take up until he, hopefully, starts another site...
