everclear on the otherhand is just wrong, you can't drink that shit straight, tried a shot of it once and my mouth colapsed in on itself. it's good with mountain dew though and it'll fuck you up too, 98\% alchohol will do that.

I love strawberry dacquiris but most bars/pubs do not do them or any complicated cocktails. Plus it needs real strawberries. Just the strawberry liqueor is not enough!!!

So, most of the time I just take a tequilla sunrise. Tequilla + lemonade/squash, Vodka + OJ/lemonade/squash JB + coke, Baileys/Kahlua + milk. Black/White Russians.

If theres a binge on and shots are called:

Anything that comes up. After a while, they'll all taste the same or you go numb Anything at all except Sambucca (liquorish) drinks. I'll never be numb enough to mind that stuff. YUCK!

It's also a great place to stash stuff if the cops are gonna raid your house, because if you have a computer there, they aint gonna be willing to pay upwards of a grand to replace it if they screw it up, so they tend not to look inside the case

As for fave drinks, I'm very partial to Peach Schnapps, and it's the only "hard" drink I've ever touched, though I wouldnt mind a bit of that Everclear, it'd last a long while if it gets you paraletic in one shot.

Whiskey...that's from Scotland iso9k! And if you put it like that Vodka is just Russian whiskey. Vodka has a disgusting taste I think (talking Smirnoff). I like nearly all kinds of whiskey on the other hand.

But it's all made the same way. Take some of your local crops, add yeast, sugar, wait, voila you have some smelly fluid you can distilate and season.

The main brandys I know of is:

Whiskey - Scotland (rye, barley, oats, wheat, or corn)
Vodka - Russia (Mainly potatos)
Danish Schnapps - Denmark (Whatever you can get)
Risewine - China (geee, hmm, rise)
Rum - Barbados (Dunno really, tastes good anyway)

BTW: You can't just go out and buy 98\% alcohol (ethanol that is. Everything else would kill you. 98\% alcohol probably would anyway though). And you can't make it yourself unless you've got a high facility lab. If you've got 96\% ethanol in a bottle and unscrew the cap it'll drop to 80\% in about 3 minutes, depending on the willingness of the surrounding air to absorb it.

i like trying lots of imported beers too - stuff like Tartan, Boddingtons, etc. North America (especially the USA) doesn't quite have the knack for beer the way the Europeans/UKers do. Canada's got some great microbreweries though. (but I think there's already a thread on that...)

i like them both. hash makes me more mellow and trippy. weed is just something entirely different. it's kinda one of those "you have to feel it to understand it" type things.

as for the mikes hard, it's as close to a cocktail as i've ever seen a guy drink - i do see a lot of guys drink it though and since it is available at most beer stores, at least in canada, it's "allowed" to be a guys drink too

You actually used lemonade for your lemon drop shots?? Any time I've done them, it's been:

1) Dip a lemon slice in sugar.
2) Suck the lemon and hold the juice in your mouth.
3) Take the shot of vodka.

It's esp. yummy when using either Absolut Citron or Mandarin, and if you're out of lemons, using orange slices instead is tasty too.

(filter - fold a piece of paper into a ribbon about 1/2 inch wide then roll it iinto a circle like a snail shell would look in a crossection. Insert into bottle neck when the right size.)
Very much a local thing.
Anyway - no tobacco mixed. I was fucked for about 5 hours. Great. Hear it's not often it hits you the first time - I was lucky. I'd say drop the tobacco mix if you use it. It can make a lot of people nauseous. Suck deep like you're going for a long underwater swim and then hold it. Don't worry about looking cool, if you want to cough, just try hold it like you would a sneeze and splutter a bit. When you finally need air, ie: throbbing veins, breathe out in a controlled manner. One or two more like that and you're on your way. Yummy. Very mellow. Turn on the Road Runner cartoons.
BTW you can buy a big trash bag full of weed tops for about ฮ in So. Africa along the coast. hehe
