Well thanks I think, hehehe, but like I said I CAN'T drive. That's not a statement of skill (because I would have only the finest teacher, my brother, if I could drive), or of restriction (because my dad would never restrict me), but a statement of fact. I can't drive, I'm legally blind, so yeah... Still, it's my birthday

oh man... i wish there was something i could do for your eyes... driving is more or less my anti-stress device for all the bad shit that happens to me..

legally blind != can't see a goddamn thing.

I forgot what the numbers were, but it just means that you have extremely poor eyesight. You can see, but it's like being on a really hazy acid trip or something :\

Wish I could drive too man, and my sight in my left eye (my good one) is 20/400 and 20/200 WITH contacts in. That's, with contacts in I can see, at 20 feet, similarly to what people with perfect eyesight can see at 200 feet. My other eye is pretty much useless. Well, that's what happens when bad eyesight and retina disfuntions (mine have detached once in one eye and twice in the other), run in the family. Anyways.... it's still my birtday

my friend's mom is legally blind in one eye but they still let her drive.
not that i would ever like to drive with her, but still.

Had a teacher with a shattered retina from accidentally stabbing himself with a knife. No pain though.

i read about a cure for blindness once...
where exactly I saw it, i forget.

It involved wiring two receivers(one behind each ear) directly to the optical nerve and wearing a special pair of glasses that transmitted whatever you saw to the receivers, thereby bypassing the eyes completely.

i won't start on failing a written exam for driving, but i will say you can just take it again, it should be the exact same test...

and, I suppose Anz.. things will always turn out for the best.. plus, sorry i never said it in earlier thread "happy late birthday" man..

Thanks for this interesting mixture of support and stuff here guys, heh, and thank you meine reizend Caroline ::hug::

Anyways, got more happy birthdays today and over the weekend then on my actual birthday, but hey, that's cool Anyways, as an interesting twist to things lately my DSL connection decided to quit on me, except this time I think it's permenant (seeing as the company went bankrupt). This would be a bad thing EXCEPT for the fact that the stuff I was hosting from my DSL is going to be going on co-location on a T1 or T3 soon (and I'm not paying for the server or anything, hehehe) and I'll probably be moving to a much faster internet connection that won't allow hosting, all around goodness I think. All in all this has to be one of the better birthdays so far
