So, what are you guys doing over Thanksgiving (break)? Going home? Forced to work? Hosting a party? Snipping coupons? Hunting? Sharing favorite recipes? :P

Just cause school is out doesnt mean I get to relax (oh no no no- enjoy your college years people)

Columbus day? fuck that i cant be assed to ask which name is the real one for it. i prefer having just christmas and getting extremely drunk and eat too much then. or do you eat loads of food on thanksgiving and then just open presents christmas?

1) Do not go to more than 1 Thanksgiving dinner
2) Do not try a bit of all the wines present if amount > 10
3) Do not hog the chardonnay
4) Do not hog the sauvignon blanc
5) Do not attempt to dance while tipsy
6) Do not match the Germans glass per glass

7) Oh yea - avoid the wine in a box

Ok listen! My family goes over to my grandmother's house for Thanksgiving, it's a tradition.

I tried to get around, but no one was home, so I really only had a steak dinner and two pieces of pie and some coke. (not the nose candy kind.)

I got to drive up to Sun City to see my step-grandma with my brother and hang out with her and her new husband. We went to some resturaunt that was serving Thanksgiving type meals. We had the worst waiter in existance... I know, because my brother, a waiting expert, told us so. But, I got to have nice rare prime rib with mashed potatoes and poultry gravy, and other such pleasantries. Now, I'm sitting in my apartment with my g-ma's computer considering putting a new operating system on it. Yay turkey day!

I guess the worst part about the whole experience is that I had to be with old people, which I have a very hard time dealing with. They're nice, their pleasant, and interested in your life, but they're old. I'm 23 years old and I sat in the back of a Buick driven by an old person. I, just... I held it in at the time. I don't know why I have such a problem with old people, seeing as how I'll be one in 60 years, but nothing made me cringe more than looking across the resturant and not seeing one non-white hair. </rant>

All in all, it was cool though. I got to see my brother, which is always a treat. And, today was cool too. I went to Best Buy and bought speaker stands and Metal Gear Solid 2. Played that a bit, did some of the work toward setting up my surround sound, and started drinking early. It's shaping up to be a good holiday! And, I only have to write a business plan for the weekend!
