RUM GLORIUS RUM......Now it could be jamaican Golden Apple rum or Captain Morgans spiced rum. For all out getting wasted off your ass is Everclear. Anything 190 proof is just bad ass.

I thank Canadia for Dr. McGillicudies... the only Schnapps that should exist. in both Peppermint and Vanilla. Vanillicudies and Cherry Coke is amazing.

Neophyre. Try some Brandy and coke. I strongly recommend Korbel and Coke. Very tasty.

Finally, although it's weird, Southern Comfort and Ruby Red Squirt. Both elements alone are nasty, but together makes a beautiful drink that tastes nothing like alcohol.

I had this WICKED drink the other day ... it was called Picker's Peach. It was :

A 2 pint jug, with 5 shots of vodka, 5 shots of archers (peach schnapps), topped up with orange juice and a splash of cranberry juice.

Which cost £10 (about 15 dollars)

OMG it was gorgeous. It was like a refreshing fruit drink, you couldn't taste the alcohol and OMG I did have a very strange night.

Any one ever had the high test Wild Turkey. I think its composed of concentrated jet fuel.

oh - almost forgot - mead is good hot or chilled. Plus you feel like an old Anglo-Saxon warrior when you drink it

Make sure you get the REAL STUFF though. There's a lot of "meade" that's really white wine with some honey added to it. The real stuff ain't made from grapes at all.

/me is off too Beverages and More, home of the manager who once told me, with a straight face, "it really bothers me that I have to sell drugs." He was referring to Whippits.

VODKA + REDBULL = really drunk, uncoordinated, but really full of energy.

Yes we do. Red Bull gives you wings!™ Check your local 7-Eleven.

Maybe it's just a California thing, but Red Bull is available EVERYWHERE. It tastes like cherry-flavored medicine, but MAN what a buzz..

Why are people trying to find drinks that "Don't taste like alcohol"? Damn, if you don't want to taste alcohol, don't drink.

For me, it's Jameson irish whiskey, straight up. No self respecting irishman will put anything in his whiskey.

Neophyre - you should try upgrading to TVR's. they won't do anything for your coordination, but the tequila will stop you caring.
Posted by Observer on Feb. 25 2001,17:05
By Red Bull, are you referring to the energy drink or the malt liquor? Here in the states we don't have the energy drink of that name. Only saw ads for it once in Austria. Quite an odd taste if you ask me.

I just realised I have nothing to add to a conversation about alcohol since Im allergic to it....
oh well it could be worse...i could be allergic to chocolate

Posted by CatKnight on Feb. 26 2001,13:11
i didnt know it was possible to be allergic to alchohol in general. maybe you could be allergic to wheat or barely (and therefore beer and most liquors) but I would think there would be some form of alchohol that would be okay...(nyquil?)

anyway it would suck ass to be allergic to chocolate. you might as well just kill yourself.

Posted by Chrissy on Feb. 26 2001,13:44
being allergic to alcohol is a lot like being allergic to milk- you just dont have the enzyme in the body that digests it correctly making you very ill...
Allergy-intolerance its the same thing

i have a friend who's allergic to alcohol, to the point that a dose of nyquil will kill him.

his brain just shuts down. he found this out after being given nyquil and waking up in a hospital four days later on a heart lung machine.

as for me, i like white russians with skyy vodka, but my favorite stuff is chimay. preferably with the blue label.

chimay is a double fermented unfiltered belgian beer brewed by trappist monks. it's kind of fruit-tasting, comes in a corked bottle and has sediments like wine, but is bubbly and brewed as beer. it's served slightly chilled, not cold, and usually poured into a wine glass. it's good stuff, but expensive.

see name

straight up gentleman jack
jack and coke, beam and coke
knob creek mint juleps are nice too

of course, beer is always welcome...even though I don't really drink anymore

i'd rather do drugs

Personally, my favourite beer is a Dutch lager called Orangeboom, it's fantastic. I love vodka but it has to be ice cold. Jack Daniels on the rocks is good for looking smooth, especially if you've got a cigar in your other hand (my friend's have taken to calling me James Bond). You do sound like an idiot when you order it though but that's all part of the fun.

Vodka Red Bull is alright I suppose but it costs a bomb. I've been to clubs where their idea of shot was so small that I reckon I could have spat into the cup and doubled its alcohol content.

So, overall, preferred nation for alcohol. I suppose it's got to be Russia for the vodka as long as it's proper stuff like Smirnoff. A drink that gets you pissed fast and doesn't give you a hangover is a godsend.
cheers
