So I'm sitting here dling some Dave Matthews Band concerts and was thinking, has anyone been to any really good concerts lately? I was at the Weezer concert in Northern Virginia in late September and was at the Dave Matthews Band concert at RFK in DC over the summer. Both concerts kicked ass. Weezer was great cause there weren't that many people there, but everyone knew the words to songs from the Blue Album and was singing along.

I was at the U2 concert at Slane Castle here in Ireland. U2 rocked, they were supported by Nelly Furtado, Moby and Ash. Nelly sux but moby and ash are cool !!!

I've got a concert of Dave Matthews And Tim Reynolds on some mp3's. I have no idea where it was tho, so I'm probably no help (which is a shame, because it's really good).

I think it was at Luther College or something. I went to the Weezer Concert @ Jones Beach in September. It was awesome, but really cold (it was outdoors.)

Luther College is an actual CD, they toured everywhere and this is from one that wasn't published.

Best concert I've ever seen: GNR/Metallica/Motorhead. I originally bought tickets just to see Faith No More (the original opener), but FNM left the tour to do some east coast gigs with Helmet...which I would have loved to see, but that's another story.

I saw Nirvana, that was pretty cool. There's a song from the show I was at on the Muddy Banks.. cd, I was kinda excited about that for some reason.

Thinking about heading to see Weezer next weekend, but I'm not sure. Last time I saw them the show was way too short, and kinda boring. Then again, it was only ฟ. Gotta keep an eye out for the "Goat Punishment" shows, though now that Weezer's back in the spotlight everyone and their mother seems to know this alias...

edit: I take it back. Black Sabbath/Primus was the best show ever.

I saw Tenacious D and Weezer last night. Good show, but I think the D has more musical talent than Weezer

I haven't been to many rock concerts... neither got to see Bon Jovi nor Bryan Adams. But, jazz concerts rule! Last year I went to see Tony Bennett. Actually, I only went because Diana Krall was the opener and I am a big fan of hers, but Tony Bennett turned out to be pretty cool in a sweet, old-fashioned way.

Next week there's a Diana Krall concert here... and this little lady's got a ticket! YEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!

I'm going to see Ben Folds in Rochester monday. Its gonna be awsome.

Yes, The Start played WAY too many opening songs. I remember, the lead singer kept saying "C'mon you fuckers, dance, dance! Dance with me!" And there was one guy standing up, who seemed to know the words to every song. Once Weezer came, I don't recall seeing him again.

For the money Weezer was a great concert. Of course I loved them before I saw them live. Only ฬ for a ticket. Dave on the other hand was โ and my friends and I had shitty seats. However, a binch of people bum rushed the security guards so we were able to get on the field. We went from very shitty seats to about the 20th row of chairs on the field. It was crazy when it was over. It took like 2 hours to get from the stadium to the Metro station, which is like 2 blocks around the corner.

I've seen DMB, Incubus, System of a Down, PUYA, Mr.Bungle, a bunch of local bands, and I was at the RageTV thing from MTV (yeah, mtv, right, I know). They were all pretty cool.

I'm going to see that Tenacious D / Weezer deal in Houston or Dallas in a few weeks. I'm looking forward to the Tenacious D, can't say so much for the Weezer though.

I saw Rob Zombie/Ozzy Osbourne a few weeks ago (merry mayhem or something) That was good, interesting in the least. True, I couldn't hear for a few days afterwards, but...hey -- it was Ozzy!

Just went to the last Tool concert of the tour. It was amazing. Except for the crowd: too many military there. They tend to be jerks and such in a public setting. Music was amazing, visuals were amazing, girls there were amazing.

(p.s. Tool 0wnz j00)

Hahaha. My friend bought the Tenacious D cd. That is some funny shit. When I saw Weezer there was the shitty band that opened, The Start, they played too many damn songs.

I went to the Tool concert in Sydney, and i've got to agree with aletros.. TOOL FUCKING OWNS!!

The Sydney Entertainment Centre handled them pretty well, you could FEEL the bass shake you inside.

aletros: did they play the video clips with each song?

I've been to the last 3 "Last Damn Show" Concerts, which are thrown by a local radio station, and usally feature the top 8 hip-hop/rap artists of the moment.

I also went to G3 last year, and that was quite possibly the best concert I've ever been to. Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, John Petrucci.... three of the greatest guitarists known to man under the same roof. Definately an awesome show.

I've never been to any alternative/rock concerts, tho I might get a ticket to another various artists concert thats going on in about a month.

saw dmb at madison square garden and giants stadium. madison square garden was interesting cause there wasn't that much ventilation....of all the weed smoke, of course.

I went to Billy Joel's millenium concert at msg.
Posted by aletros on Nov. 14 2001,16:22
neophyre: Of course. They didn't play the video you'd see on mtv (lol.) always (did a few times. schism, sober) but there was always SOMETHING happening up there to let you get more than just an acoustic connection/experience.
