I'm in search of old but good music to listen to that is somewhat obscure.

For example: Machines of Loving Grace -
really cool industrial rock band.

Any others?

Great classic rock. Their song Treacle People has the most incredible sounding guitar.

I'm not a huge fan, but Sticks was a cool rock band.
The Cars were pretty good too.
Black Dog is fairly old techno pioneer.

Oh, and I don't know if they're old, but certainly obscure... Wumpscut is a GREAT industrial techno band!

If you're into the industrial scene... get some Kraftwerk. I recommend Autobahn.

I'll agree with the Kraftwerk, they're the best tunes to listen to when you're fried out of your mind.
