Say you take a joint, a fan, and one of those Sharper Image air filters. You basically light the joint up, let the fan blow the smoke into the air filter thing, then when it's done, scrape off the minute marijuana dust and put it into a thing of water. Then stir it and stuff, so that it mixes. Then boil some sugar, and add the marijuana/water to the sugar, mix it, and let it cool off. And you've got a marijuana pop!
Tell me, is this feasible?

The psychoactive ingredients of marijuana are vaporized when you smoke it. What's left is ash. So, while you'd be making marijuana pop, it wouldn't get you high.
If you're interested in making a drink that will get you high, buy some grain alcohol and soak your weed in it for a few days, then strain it out (or not), and drink it.

as for "weed pop", I like cr0's suggestion. Soak your weed in some vodka (or better yet, everclear). Strain. Drink straight or mixed with your favorite soda.
If you don't want to wait a few days, heat the alcohol/weed mixture on medium power in the microwave for 10 minutes or so. Lower the power if it starts to boil. Remove the mixture from the microwave, cover, and let it cool to room temp. Strain & enjoy.
Although it seems like it should, this does NOT drive off most of the alcohol. I speak from experience

is that true for the 'special' brownies? i heard that the THC evaporates when baked, so theres no chemicals to get you high. just a though.

Cannabinoids are soluble in lipids. Anyone preparing a dish with marijuana in it will simmer it with butter or in some kind of oil/fatty substrate to get all the THC out (that is, if they're doing it properly). Too hot and you destroy the cannabinoids, too cool, and they stay in the plant, which isn't going to do you much good even if you leave the plant matter in your final dish and eat it. Boiling it in water won't be as effective because THC isn't soluble in water. This is why we use water in water pipes (bongs) rather than, say, alcohol or milk.Generally, the rule seems to be 1/8th of an oz of cannabis per stick of butter. Ingesting gives you more bang for the buck, so most people don't waste their best buds on simply cooking when even low grade leaves will do the trick.
