I'm leaving detnet for a while. There is no intelligent conversation here anymore. All the cool mature people like cr0bar, Wolfguard, and askheaves, rarely post anymore. Now I know why. All you do now is flame each other. And most of the new newbies are just retarded assholes. Which leads to more flaming. Anyway I'll post in topics where there is an interesting discussion going but thats it.

So...the king of the flame is leaving. My predition is that the intelligent ones who used to gather here will suddenly return, and that all the conversation you miss (more likely he means people he could flame openly who wouldn't flame him back) will be put back into full swing. In other words...

Yeah, notice I've been here 14 months, but have ~ 100 posts, as opposed to others *ahem* with around 1800. It's because 98\% of the forum topics are half-assed idiots flaming each other because one guy made fun of how the other makes his toast in the morning, or other meaningless bullshit like that.

Personally I thought he was really funny. It's just his oppinions that sucked... and that's only more fuel for you guys. So essentially, you've caused him to only take part in the forums where he's least welcome.

CK is right, the forums are getting a little lame lately. I blame the the non-n00bs for not starting cool threads and the n00bs for starting lame ones.
Without this source of "new blood" the forum would have burned out a while ago, but now it is like a living entity; It just gains more members and repeats the same threads and melodramas.

shifter is awesome. ck, sucks that your leavin, even though i hate your guts cause your an arrogant jerk. but the forums are going into a shit phase right now (sorry cr0). ive cut down on my posting, i dont usually check it more than once a day any more, and hell, i barely even bothering to read all the posts. if someone in any topic starts being boring, i generally just stop reading it, and move onto the next. its like how radio has become. too much shit, not enough good stuff. but dont hold out on intelligent life returning, i dont think itll happen.

I have to agree that going on and on about leaving is quite annoying and comes across as an attention grabbing subject. As hateful as it sounds ... one of the other forums I read occassionally actually bans people for saying that they're leaving. I assume using the philosophy of "if you're saying it, you're doing it, so let me help you not waste any more of my time by banning you." AND...I wonder....if everyone is SOOO bored with this forum and contemplating it's demise...why bother returning. Why the fuck is it still up? WHAT is it that keeps drawing people back here?
