how many people here have seen this movie, and how do u think it compares to tomb raider and swordfish
i found it to be the only movie that matched the trailer. honestly when i saw the racing scenes in the trailer i expected those to be the only scenes, and everything else filled with offtopic boring crap, sorda like swordfish. to my own amusement it turned to be an exceptionally good movie. especially best sein in a rather small theatre room packed with high quality dobly surround sound equipment. when they to the 1/4 mile and hit the nitros i could actually feel the vibration produced by the engine noise
overall i would have to say for my taste that was the best movie of the year 2001 so far.

I can't leave the house ever since the electric pencil sharpener incident so i haevn't seen it, but have you seen "Pitch Black" Vin Deisel is also in that as the psychopathic killer. Not a bad B-Sci Fi flick, nothing that would win an award, but not bad.

Ill probably end up seeing it. Vin kicked ass in Pitch Black and rumor has it they are going to make another movie about his adventures after leaving the dark planet. I heard a couple of review of FAF and people were making fun of the "rice" cars, not enough American racing cars.

One of my friends says,

those would be some sweet lens, but i think it was all cgi.
when that antique dealer blows the fire and all the beasts are around him did anyone else notice that the light sorta fades away slowly? they did that so ppl could see all the aliens but it looked kinda lame.

I can't believe they killed the hot chick that close to the end. I mean come on... she was brave and altruistic you can't kill someone like that, but it did make the movie a little more serious, it took it outta the "they lived happily ever after" category.
they way they made the monsters not invulnerable was interesting too, all in all a pretty good movie, maybe even a better book. I wonder if it was a book first, books based on movies are never any good. They are just describing the movie, might as well just watch it.

But listen to those people whimper when they get flamed by a four banger. Its an awesome movie and I to could feel the vibrations.. it rocked. I hated that the kewl eclipse got flamed..!!! But other than that it rocked. Especially the ferrie part!!

Ferrari, dude, Ferrari.

It was funny as hell going out of that movie. There were these chinese guys that were talking after the movie and one said "I loved where the guy smoked the Corvette", he's friend just about smacked him

My friend said when he saw it there was this rusted ass pick up that sat at a parking light next to him and stated reving his engine like crazy, it was so funny, he "peeled out", barely avoided an empty cop car that was parked there and crashed straight into a show Civic. ahah

whats the whole point of this movie anyways? in the previews, it looks like its some war between the chinks on the motocycles (Hondas... heheh) and the not-chinks in the fast cars (they go broom-broom!)

and Pitch Black was a pretty good movie. and i cant believe they didnt know that the girl was a girl. tahts just fucking lame, you know?

the movie is mostly about the world of street racing, though it does have a few offsets as to the main character being a cop and all, other then that it's just racing. Lots of nitrogen oxide and some crazy ass stunts (the train part).
Overall a good movie.

I saw Fast and the Furious last night and all I wanted to do after I got out of the theatre was find something with a lot of horsepower and setp heavy on the accelerator. Point said.
