A kid that was in one of my programming classes last year had a pair. He said they where cool but you went way to fast so it wasnt very much fun.

correction, my dear boy, its like having a pair of SKATES on, not a board. the things are attached to yer feet, very, VERY much like skates, and not a boardplus, they suck. the bastards have metal soles and wiegh about a pound each. theyre not fun either. if the curb or rail that your grinding is too slick, when you try to jump off, your legs will spilt and your land or your ass, hard. and they look dumb, they came out about 2 years ago. ------------------ Posted by Munky_Who on Jul. 05 2000,13:05

Some soap shoes I have seen are plastic, not metal. They are made so you can't tell the soap is installed unless you see the bottom of the shoe. According to some of the kids I know, they are not made for stunts, even though they can be used that way. Their main purpose is "agressive walking," which entails sliding on protruding corners. (benches, curbs, etc.) I think that if you want to do something like that, skates or a skateboard would probably suffice, but people like to try new things.
