Okay...first off, I'd like to apologize for yet another frickin' thread. But I didn't know where to post exactly. There's the 8 page thread from the day of (now on a bitter tangent), a thread about pictures, a thread about Nostradamus crap, and my hokey Google terrorist-poster thread. So I figured we could use one strictly for what's to come. Specifically, < Bin Laden placed under house arrest. > Which I wanted everyone to see. Seems like progress is being made already. Kinda made me smile.

House Arrest.Right. thats gonna stop the most dangerous terrorist in the world. gimme a fuckin break... ------------------ Posted by whiskey@throttle on Sep. 11 2001,23:50
Considering the most likely alternative they face (invasion?), house arrest isn't too bad an idea. They do have an army, after all. How hard can it be? Posted by StanVanDam on Sep. 12 2001,00:23
Something sounds a little BS about this..My thoughts exactly, Rhydant. Posted by CatKnight on Sep. 12 2001,00:25
hey, if he is under house arrest, that means we can bomb his house rather easily. this way we'll only have to take out, oh, say 10 city blocks of Kabul instead of the entire thing.

Swift death from above is too good for him. I'm sure Bin Laden will be captured very soon, with very little or no actual combat. Just the threat of the military bombing Afghanistan back to primordial ooze will scare the Taliban enough to hand him over, or let NATO/UN in to snatch his monkey ass up. Then we can begin torturing him until he can't remember his name--a la 1984. I sincerely hope that this doesn't destroy the freedom we enjoy here to go whereever we want, say whatever we want, and to do whatever we want. Some increased airport security is loooong overdue of course, and I'm even having second thoughts on a missle defense system, but i hope it doesn't go too far. ------------------ Posted by cr0bar on Sep. 12 2001,22:33
Sources differ as to whether Bin Laden is actually under house arrest. I will say that we should be able to get him without actually launching any attacks, but then again if he's not the one, our task becomes more difficult.I highly doubt that we will be installing military hardware to defend our cities from passenger jets. If that's what it comes to, I'm moving to Canada. Posted by Dark Knight Bob on Sep. 12 2001,22:45
he isnt. sources say hes not even being restrained in any from whatsoever. they're just saying that to keep the US from blowing them to the moon and back------------------ Posted by TheTaxMan on Sep. 13 2001,03:34
Besides, the Teliban will die rather than hand him over, just like the terrorists onboard the aircraft.------------------ quote: Posted by whiskey@throttle on Sep. 13 2001,16:04
