Here is an Idea... Make a CD BURNER with a High powerd laser on it. Then when you get an AOL CD in the mail, you can Re-Burn whatever you want on it! Hey free CDR! Posted by marc c on Sep. 25 2000,20:35
Except then all your mp3 disks would have an AOL lable on the front. ------------------ Posted by j0eSmith on Sep. 26 2000,00:17
yeah but then you wouldn't have to worry about friends taking them------------------ Posted by cr0bar on Sep. 26 2000,00:40
Too bad that's impossible. . . .I would like a high-powered laser though. Posted by Guest on Sep. 26 2000,04:45

Yeah, the wonderful days of free AOL floppies are over, no matter how much we might want them back------------------ Posted by eng_man on Oct. 05 2000,06:00
It _might_ be possible, it depends on how AOL makes their CDs.Most production CDs are made from a press and not burned like a CD-R(W). Which is probably what AOL uses since they have to give out so many CDs (Pressed are usually cheaper per CD once you start making a lot fo them). If that is the case there's nothing you can do. But if they do involve some sort of dye there is a slight change that they can be reburned. There's always the microwave ;) ------------------ |
