ladies and gentlemen, this is some seriously messed up shit. i encourage all of you to take a second, and get a good laugh from this one.
as far a s a response to it, i'm a christian in most ways, although not denying my hypocrisies, and sure you can say satan was apart of it, but damning everyone and everything surely isn't going to get a Godly point across, yeesh. the nation does however need to pray for the families, and for the nation as a whole as to how to react.
Like isn't 9:111 the verse from the qur'an where it talks about killing Allah's enemies or something?

Dunno, it's all still very surreal, like a movie. I still can't believe that the twin towers of the world trade center "the symbols of capitalism", are just GONE.

Book 9 verse 111 of the Koran refers to a building opposing Islam that will keep people from believing in Allah unless "their hearts are cut to pieces." Or something like that. I looked it up in the library earlier today. But that could just be a coincidence.
As for the person who wrote those "prophecies," I haven't been able to get a 100\% certain identity fix but it appears to be a high school student with no involvement whatsoever. One viewpoint would be to say that his "prediction" is just a coincidence.
The other viewpoint (which some of you agnostic types won't agree with) would be that the kid could have been demon-possessed. There's plenty of precedent for that; the Bible includes at least one example of someone predicting the future through not through God but through demonic means. (Acts 16:16)
Speaking of which, there's a picture sitting on my hard drive right now that shows a city lying in ruins, a twin tower in the background with a large chunk taken out of it, and smoke everywhere. A picture which I drew two and a half days before the attack happened. How's that for wierd? Again, it may be just coincidence... or there may be more going on in all of this than meets the eye...
Incidentally, I've met several people online (on a different forum) who also had some sort of premonition of this. Admittedly there are non-supernatural explanations for why that might be (ie pure coincidence), but it is still rather interesting.
And thanks for welcoming me back, incubus. I believe it was Nostradamus who first prophecied that when times are like these, Michael would return to the Detnet forum... <grin>

On that note, I think it is important for everyone to be very aware of themselves and how they are relating to the people around them. There is a air of fear and anger everywhere around us, try not to let it effect you too much. Just keep your head clear as best you can. And God bless.

The basic message is: this picture represents the state that our country is in spiritually. And the only way to heal our land is for our country as a whole to turn back to God. (2 Chronicles 7:14).
To elaborate on that, and to perhaps also answer how it could be that many of you may have sensed this coming:
There is a war being fought, that has been going on for millenia. A struggle "not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Ephesians 6:12) And humanity is the battleground.
(In that sense, then, it is not surprising that if something serious were happening in the invisible, spiritual realm, that many people would pick up on at least a hint of it. Similarly, it would make perfect sense that this Nostradamus kid had been told by a demon what was going to happen.)
And more and more, the US has been losing that war. There has never been a foreign invasion of American soil, they say, and yet day by day an invisible war is fought between the secular forces in this country and the religious ones. And the result of our losing this struggle is that people become "lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-- having a form of godliness but denying its power."
For our country, our chief form of idolatry has been the love of money; everyone else in the world sees us as being uncaringly, excessively wealthy, at least our nation as a whole. In a sense, the WTC could be seen as a temple built to glorify our own wealth. And in that sense, the same words that Solomon spoke about the temple in Jerusalem apply here:
"And though this temple is now so imposing, all who pass by will be appalled and say, `Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land and to this temple?' People will answer, 'Because they have forsaken the LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them--that is why he brought all this disaster on them.'" 2 Chronicles 7:21-22
In that sense, this could be a sort of wake-up call, a warning. Because when Solomon warns of the disaster that could befall a land which forsakes God, he also gives the solution: "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
I know that this all sounds rather mythological and perhaps even fanatical, but I believe that it's the truth. All I'm really trying to say here is that right now, many people are lost, searching for meaning and wondering what is true and what they can trust, many people are asking questions - and I believe that God has the answers.

...but I have a feeling the Webding vewrsion ("I Love New York") was, 'cause that font didn't come out until 1997 or so. Plenty of time for the font designers to catch wind of the original Wingdings thing, and plant an Easter Egg.
