It is now past midnight on a school night. I just got back from a swim meet that left immediately after school yesterday (on wednesday). I missed all of Thursday, and got back at 11 PM (on thursday). I need to go back to school on Friday, but the teachers, being as considerate as always, have assigned exorbitant amounts of homework. I need to write an English paper, do a Bio lab writeup on the dissection of a sheep brain, study for a Latin test, study for a History test, and finish a list of History terms that I'm supposed to define by reading the book (I worked on that for 3 fucking hours on the bus and I'm still not done with it!!). This is all for tomorow, in less than 8 hours. Man this sucks.

To make it worse, I'm getting the flu. It's bad enough to make me feel like complete and total shit, but not bad enough to miss school, cause my parents gave me some of that flu medication. So, even though I'm sick, I have to do all my homework, get approximately1 hour of sleep, then go to yet another FUN day of school.

yipee

take a deep breath, and do the assignments one by one. do whichever will take the least amount of time first. that way you'll feel like you are getting things done quick.

If there's anything that I love about college, it's staying up all night to finish assignments, running to the Science Building to drop them off at 8:15AM, and going home to sleep for the rest of the day.

Is there any possibility of something like this? Your mom would probably excuse you if you can get the crap in. Then, you get to sleep all of tomorrow, and you're ready to get your grove on (or your antibiotics on). Suckers!

yeah, normally, athletics are a very low priority for me. This was the "all-conference" swim meet, the last swim meet of the season. I was hoping to get a lot of my homework done in the 8 hours I had on the bus, but that didn't happen. Plus, the swimming coach is also my math teacher, and she would have gotten kind of pissed off if I didn't show up, which just might affect my next math test grade. Anyways, I tried to go to sleep, hoping that tomorrow I wouldn't feel well enough to go to school, but about 2 minutes later I was back at my desk trying to finish my homework.

That's the way it goes for me

The big problem is, even if I finish all of my homework (which would require staying up all night, which it appears I'm going to be doing), I don't get to just turn the stuff in then go home. I'd be missing tests, not to mention notes for tests that I will be taking very soon. And I also need to get notes that I missed from yesterday for the tests that I missed. It's all screwed up, and if I'm making sense to you right now, then you better go to a psychiatrist and get evaluated because I am not making any sense whatsoever.

well, at least I have a 275 pill bottle of excedrin available...

you're going to have to evaluate how important swim meets are to you. athletics is no excuse for bailing on academic work.
