I was just thinking why some words are "forbidden" while some arn't..

I mean, think of the word sex. You shout that out in a public place and you'll attract a lot of attention on a hurry, but if you were to shout out "Fuck!" you would be more likely to offend quite a few people in the process.. Why? These two words mean basically the same thing in modern language, and I don't see how people would be offended at one and not the other..

And why the religious significance. If i swear in the process of a vicar, why would he be more likely to be offended than the other people? I don't see why, but everyone acts like you should most definitely lay off the swears in the presence of people of a highly religious persuasion.. Maybe it's because a lot of curses are religion related. "oh god" this and "jesus christ" that.

everyone has different opinions, which may have been influenced by their religion, home life, or any such bullshit. the real truth is, its the connotation and the context of the word. whenever you say fuck.. you are usually using it strongly, to get your point across. but yes. its all fucked up bullshit.

it's vulgarity or something. One has a much more strong meaning then the other. If I say "me and my girlfriend had sex", it's not as powerful as "me and my girlfriend fucked". Or telling someone to shut up. You can just say "shut up!" or "shut the fuck up!". That's how I see swearing as a good thing...

also, have you ever noticed the difference in reaction to "penis" and "dick"? Seriously. If I say dick, you get what I'm talking about and there'e no other discussion on it. If I say penis, you know some immature... dick is gonna laugh. Or pussy and vagina. Tits and breasts. This is why I propose we use these words more often, because it's more impolite to laugh, don't you think?

we played drunken uno last night and one of the "rules" is that whoever wins a game gets to make their own rule for the next game and one of my friends decided no one could swear...if you did you had to drink. it's so hard not to swear that after you did do it, and realized it, or after you got caught, the natural reaction was either "fuck" or "damnit"...both of which earn you another drink. i was pretty glad i was driving and had an excuse not to drink.
