Who remembers this song sung by Kermit the Frog on the muppets. I was singing this tune with my mates after we had a bit much to drink the other night. hehe. Can anyone remember the proper words to it?

Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide
So we've been told, and some choose to believe it
I know they're wrong; wait and see
Someday we'll find it, the Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me

Who said that ev'ry wish would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that, and someone believed it
Look what it's done so far.
What's so amazing that keeps us star gazing
And what do we think we might see?
Someday we'll find it, the Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me
All of us under its spell;
We know that it's probably magic

Have you been half asleep and heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name
Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors
I know it's one and the same
I've heard it too many times to ignore it
It's something that I'm s'posed to be
Someday we'll find it, the Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me.
La da da de da da do
La la da da da de da do

heh..i have it stacked with some of my piano music. go ahead..scream it loud and clear (NERD!!!)

Oh, ho, ho, irony! Oh, no, no, we don't get that here. See, uh, people ski topless here while smoking dope, so irony's not really a high priority. We haven't had any irony here since about, uh, '83, when I was the only practitioner of it. And I stopped because I was getting tired of being stared at.

They also did a nice cover of "One Tin Soldier" (aka "The Legend of Billy Jack")

They do a lot of covers that are really good, like Science Fiction Double Feature from Rocky Horror, and I Would Walk 1000 Miles.
