Clingy people, don't you just hate 'em? To those who have never experienced the pain of being in the company of a clingy person, here is a brief description. Clingy people are actually not BAD people, just annoying. (and they don't know it!) They try to be funny, but fail miserably. Also they have no concept of personal space. (i.e. they get "in your bubble" of comfortable distance) Some of them are what I call "Happiness Black Holes." Once you cross the event horizon, and they latch on, they leech all of the happiness out of you, leaving you an annoyed shell of your former self. An interesting experiment for those of you plagued by such an individual (although I use the term loosely) is to soak your shoes in red paint, and his/hers in yellow paint, then walk around. If you end up with a trail of orange footprints, you are DEFIITELY dealing with a cling-on. Here is my reccomendation: although it seems heartless, GET AWAY QUICKLY! Do whatever you can to lose such people, the happiness of you and your friends/family/co-workers may very well depend on it. In conclusion, I have opened this forum as a sort of group therapy. Please share your experiences with clingy people, because you are not alone. Thank you.
