In Canada, you're allowed to swear on TV!

Where as on, say Comedy Central, they bleep out "ass" and I really find that annoying.

So, I say that the US censors loosen up a bit and remove the large object from their assholes!!!

It would be great if they could show the unAmericanized versions of DragonBall Z, though. Censorship is pretty lame.

I stayed at a hotel in Praque once where half the channels on the TV were pornography. Hardcore pornography.

We Americans are all prudes I guess.

Ok, I'll agree with you, the Cartoon Network does kick ass, but that's different. Also, it would be nice if they did show the episodes in entirety for DBZ, they end up cutting out like 10 minutes, cause cartoons go on for 40 minutes in Japan.
It would be nice if they fixed that...
Oh, and Gundam Wing rules too!!!

as far as american television, yes, it sucks. it is censored so much because of who founded our country. freakin' puritans. whereas canada was founded by the french; enough said. but we can curse a little bit. i was watching ucb on comedy central, and they didn't bleep the words ass or pussy, and they showed a dolphin's head bobbing up and down in a guy's lap while he yelled "suck it!" it was set in the plot that a dolphin gave a guy head. that's pretty lenient, but they do hack movies apart to put on cable.

pissss..canada wasn't founded by the french eh ..it was part of the empire..and is now a big part of the common wealth...there is however a section of canada that is french..but the french didn't "FOUND" canada..the english help canadians establish responisble government...but yank tv sux ass!!

you all suck, american tv rocks. of course i dont really have a basis for this, because i can only compare it to a lack of tv, being as i cant afford to leave the country. i doubt i would if i could though. but you cant say american tv really sucks, because without it you wouldnt have the simpsons, or lots of other shows. the only good show i can think of that isnt made in US was Kids in the Hall...i just realized something, why is it that when people say american, they usually mean US?...technically america is north south and central...are we really that self centered?...i hope not =(

The fact that you created some good shows is true, but also, the fact that US censors butcher movies is also true!! I cannot stand watching a movie on Comedy Central, TBS (Superstation my ass), The Sci-Fi Network or any of your regular networks ie. Fox, CBS, etc.

Although, HBO is the one exception, but I suppose that's different.

I find it very funny, that they beep out the words. You can easily hear/see what they're saying anyway. I saw the Jerry Springer show once. It sounded like my computer when it crashes. American TV is very low quality! Except the funny cartoons though. I hear that you've got ads and commercials in your movies too. That really sucks.
