'course, there might be some things you know about cleaning that he doesn't. If he likes to read about in science in his spare time, there might be a couple things he knows about physics that you don't.
If you keep this in mind, you might see why flaming people ain't always a good idea... if you want to learn stuff, you have to make people feel comfortable enough to mention things to you that might be wrong/stupid/etc. so that you can catch the interesting tidbits.
