My computer's not the best in the world, in fact, it sucks:
AMD K6 @ 533 Mhz 8 Mb Trident Blade video card (that only works half-assedly) and, of course, a 56gay modem. ESS Audio sound card.
Anyways. Ever since I installed Windows XP, most of my trivial little shit problems disappeared (constant net d/c's, consistent restarting for no reason.) Until yesterday, everything was fine, but now, my computer tries to tell me that my processor is onl 178 Mhz! 178! I have no clue what's going on. For the most part I hate this computer and this certainly isn't lifting my disposition. Can anybody help with this POS?

if you set your clock speed and multiplier on the motherboard, then check the jumpers. if it's in the bios, check the settings there. that would be the first place look.
