OK, just got a brand new Athlon 2100+ computer custom built for me from some guy I don't know really well (I took in a trade for my car) I'm getting errors from all my audio programs and such that it doesn't find any sound hardware. I know that there's a driver installed, because I checked and they are all "working properly"
I have an ATI digital video card, and MSI sound card and MOBO. If it helps.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

XP has drivers for almost anything current; email Wiley or wait for the morning crowd; I suspect your physical connections, then your disk. Sure you don't have 2000?

is the sound card integrated into the mobo? If so, check the BIOS settings to make sure it isn't disabled.
If it's not integrated, does it show up in the hardware device manager? If so, delete it and reboot. If it doesn't show, turn off the comp, unplug the card, and restart the comp. Then shut it down, reinsert the card and power back up, see if it finds it then.
