I have my number. Used once to activate my father's pc. Used once to activate my pc. Two is apparently the maximum, as I just put in a new hd, installed XP, and of course can't verify. Is there:
a) a clean crack out there to trash activation
or
b) a nice story I can tell my local microsoft cocksuck (preferred)

I dunno, I have pro (legal) and I made a "backup" that I patched to corporate version so it doesn't do that crap.

I don't know any easy way to deactivate the activation. If you're concerned, you can use the corporate codes listed below. They have no imposed limit, so it'll never pester you again. When it asks if you'd like to register online, just select "no" and bypass the option.

I cracked a 2600 build and then one day it just stopped working ...wouldn't let me log in. The crack I was using would actually run during startup and rest the activation to 30 days out ...not very pretty. So I went legit. I still get butterflies in my stomach every time I boot my machine since it contains the only piece of software I have ever legally owned.

When I bought my laptop it came with a legal copy of XP Home, so I know how you feel wiley.. besides Counter Strike and Unreal Tourney its about the only thing I have bought..
