This is for the brace ones out there, a new version of ICQ came out. It's an alpha version so unless you have your contact list backed up I wouldn't recomment installing this. From what i heard it's fairly stable and loads a bot faster then 2001. I noticed the faster part, but can't say much about stable becaus I use miranda as my primary ICQ client and only tunrned 2002a a few times. However my computer didn't spontaneously combust, or crash when i ran 2002a. Anyways here's a link to ICQ2002a

Yuck, I hate ICQ. In the past it has always sucked harder than Jenna Jameson (sucked ram, that is). I'll stick to Trillian and Gaim.

The last version of ICQ to grace my box was 99b, and I haven't updated the ICQ client since.
I switched to Trillian which has seriously reduced the overhead of connecting to ICQ, it doesn't suck up ram like a golfball through a garden hose, it's far more stable, and I like the interface better.
I don't think I'll even be trying 2002 alpha.

they do everything "alpha" and "beta" so they don't have to do any tech support
