Hi, this may appear to be a daft question, but, here goes: Both my internal modem and onboard soundcard use IRQ 9. Is this good? or is it bad? Windows says there's no conflicts, cos they're not on the same IO range or whatever, but I've noticed that I get disconnected from the net more often when I use winamp than when I don't. Is it cos my soundcard is conflicting with my modem somehow, or just that I've got a crappy connection?

No Intel... I've got a Gigabyte 7ZXR with an Athlone 1GHz processor, and 384MB of RAM. I just thought I'd brag about that. You'd think that with a kick-ass system like that, I'd actually know better. I'm gonna try changing the IRQ settings for my sound-card (duh, why didn't I try that to start with?) and see if that helps any. I still think it's my crappy internet connection tho
