that didnt work when i set the accleration above low its so erratic its impossible to aim. moving the mouse 2 mm rotates about 720 degrees. and having the sensitivity low makes it impossible to move around at all.

note: usually when i play games, i hardly move my wrist at all. i only move my hand. therefore, i normally like high sensitivity so i can move quickly without having to move my hand all over the place. but with this optical mouse, there doesnt seem to be a way so that i can make the sensitivity high to make this possible while keeping the acceleration at a decent level so i dont spin around wildly.

i cant seem to get my mouse speed at a good setting with my new optical mouse. its either way too fast or way too slow or doesn't accelerate fast enough, etc. i have a hard time moving and turning fast and then aiming a railgun accurately and quickly, for example. its fine in half life though. any suggestions?

I think Q3 has its own internal mouse acceleration settings, in addition to normal sensitivity. Can't remember a cvar for it, though...
