Oh, man, that is SO wuss. 2MBit buffer = 256KByte / 8 ports = 32K / port, which will fill in 320 microseconds. Enjoy your collision light, 'cause it's gonna flash a lot...

By comparison, the NetGear FS-105 has 1.6MBit (200KB) per port. If you get collisions on this thing it's time to upgrade to Gigabit Ethernet.
