For starters, examine the "uber god" status under my name. It enables me to express my opinion, to the extend that cr0bar is not around to hear it.

Anyway, I understand that some of the newcommers around here deserved the shafting they received, but methinks you are giving the shaft unfairly to others.

I wouldn't care, but it's that crap that spoils the forums somewhat to the point that they cross over the line from "nice community" to "Kyle's HardOCP".

To put this all in perspective, I read these forums, not Kyle's.

Just a thought though.

I live in Oregon, and that description isn't far off.

you are right, the n00bs need to pass the test. we can't have just anyone post here, they must be able to take a punch.

When they come here they are lumps of cookie dough (mmmm cookie dough...), after a few flames they are carved of wood.

I have to agree with Snark here really. I mean I read the KeenSpot forums for a while, and.. well, it sucked. 90\% of the time was spent flaming newbies. It was just dumb. It was as if they had just run out of things to say (well I guess that's possible). Anywho... just thought I'de voice with the side of empathy.

Yeah... Anztec and Renegade got my idea on the whole thing.

Everyone takes things to seriously. I mean, after a while, we learn how someone "expresses" themself, and what kinds of things they say are jokes, serious, and other stuff and ways to tell which are jokes, etc, etc... So, when l33t says something about slate (for example), slate can tell l33t's joking. I think you guys just get to much sand in your vagina when a newbie comes in because you can't tell the difference between a joke and a flame, or if a flame is even a flame...

I can't leave this one alone...

Depends on how "tasty" the afore-mentioned "cookie dough" is and if she [she because "he" would just be a little nasty for me so I'm leaving it on a female noob standard for this theory] is "yummy" enough, the also mentioned "wood" is SURE to be near to come. *lame and tame but still with a dirtyminded interpretation...I'm doomed*

I agree with this a bit also. I can see a little flaming for the first timers but sometimes there is a need to exute some control. I like that about this forum. People here seem to be decent enough to spank a little ass but not beat the poor donkey to death. I'm not complaining about any smartass comments I've gotten because most were valid...however, I see no point in pussing out and backing into a corner either. It's more fun to throw back a little shit to the giver (in moderation of course).
/me thinks to self....or maybe it's the hair, ass, and titties.

I agree with Snark to a point, but some newbies either:

  1. Come in running their mouths(Zodiaccow, Hyperchick313)

  2. Or they just make total fools of themselves(Dngrmouse, CowboyNeal)

People who display such behavior deserve what they get.

Of course this is just my Ũ.02.
I could be wrong about this.
