Today in French class we watched some old videos of that French singer Juliette Gréco. There were only two people in the room who really like it - the teacher and me. I really dig that old French "chanson" style, like Édith Piaf, Juliette Gréco, Serge Gainsbourg, Georges Moustaki... am I the only person under 30 to like that music, or is there anyone else as crazy as me?

For those who never heard any of it... contact me on ICQ or AIM, and I can send you samples.

Well i know a bit (a itsy teeny weenie bit) for their style. I won't seek to listen to that style, however if i get by luck by seeking on the radio i find a station that play a song of that style, i'll listen the song through the end.

But then again, stations that play that style aren't programmed on my radio

Another style you might now from living in Quebec for on season, is 70s and early 80s soft-rock, like Joe Dassin, Gilbert Becaud, Charles Aznavour, Michel Delpech, Adamo.

I'd like to know however, if you know either François Pérusse and Yélo-Molo?

Sure I know Pérusse! Just thinking of him... I can't help starting to laugh.

I also adore Éric Lapointe...

I remember the clip of Edith Piaf from Saving Private Ryan.

I would sooner stab my eardrums out with q-tips than listen to that sort of noise willingly.
